Diet for Patients with Kidney Disease

Diet in patients with chronic renal failure in this case is the diet limits some types of minerals and food sources, as well as fluids to reduce kidney work. Some foods that should be reduced are:
  • Sodium (salt). Sodium-containing foods are commonly found in processed foods such as sausages, canned foods, cheese, soy sauce, and so on.
  • Protein. You will need to reduce your daily protein diet. Reducing protein intake can decrease the residual metabolism that burdens the kidneys and helps the kidneys work better. Foods that are high in protein are meat, chicken, fish, eggs, and dairy products
  • Phosphor. Excess phosphorus can not be removed from the body due to the damaged kidney. Too much phosphorus in the body will cause calcium to decrease from the bone. Foods that have high phosphorus content are nuts, kola, and alcoholic beverages
  • Potassium. Foods with high potassium levels are bananas, other fruits, and vegetables
For the regulation of renal failure diet, we recommend to consult a nutrition specialist directly to provide appropriate nutrition settings. Moreover, if other diseases are found other than kidney failure.
