Understanding

Anodontia is a condition where the tooth seed is not formed at all. Although all primary teeth are formed in the right amount, anodontia can occur in permanent / permanent dental periods. But in fact this condition is very rare.
Usually anodontia involves both milk teeth and permanent teeth. However, most cases found an anodontia that occurs in permanent teeth. This condition is often associated with syndrome of the nerves, namely ectodermal dysplasia and skin lesions.
This disorder can cause complications of difficulty in activities involving dental function. For example like mastication, speech, and also aesthetic disorders.

 

Diagnosis

Determination of anodontic diagnosis or absenteeism usually involves radiographic examination. The goal is to make sure all the teeth are really not formed.

 

Symptoms

Symptoms of anodontia or tooth seed are not characterized by the non-formation of all teeth. Usually these symptoms are more frequent about permanent teeth than the deciduous teeth.

 

Treatment

Consult a dentist as early as possible if there is any suspicion of an anodontic abnormality or no tooth seed. The treatment usually given by the dentist is the manufacture of artificial teeth.

 

Cause

In anodontic patients or dental seeds there is no occasionally found as from a syndrome. Such an abnormality is accompanied by various symptoms that arise simultaneously. For example in Ecdodermal dysplasia syndrome.
